Meet The Owner
Miss Brenda is the owner and director of Bright Ideas Childcare, the proud mother of 6 children, and grandmother to 3 sweet grandchildren. Armed with a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Care and Education Administration, Brenda began her ECE career in 1993 as a family child care provider, boasting over 30 years in the industry. A military spouse, Brenda followed her husband’s transfers, moving her family and her child care business to Maryland and Nantucket before settling in Plymouth and opening a large home child care serving 10 families. She ran that program from 1999 to 2009. Miss Brenda’s dream of owning a child care center came to fruition in June 2009, when she opened the Cedarville center. A decade later, Camelot Park opened its doors in August 2020 to further serve Plymouth families.
Brenda ensures your child’s learning continues beyond the early years by lending her expertise to the advisory boards of Plymouth South High School and Upper Cape Cod Regional Technical High School. Brenda considers herself lucky to be an integral part of the development of so many amazing children and their families and looks forward to many more decades of education and fun.
